Is rap now a days about making good music or money?

I use to love rap music, but now it seem to be no more heart into the music. It seem more about getting this money than making good music. Most people when they come out the first statement is “make this money”. How do you feel that this music has gone to.
I’m working on this project for school,and I decided to make mine about rap music videos.But I only need the negative effect of these videos,like how they degrade and exploit women,and stuff like that.What are some other negative points about rap music videos?
